Title: Tian Hexian Plaques
Post by: mtg on Mar 15, 2017, 01:40:22
Hello.  I was told that these plaques are by Tian Hexian, one of the original "Eight Friends of Zhushan".  Can someone help me confirm this and maybe a date they were made?  Thank you...MTG

If this is by Tian Hexian one of the eight friends, it would be very valuable, I would look at the high auctions and compare your to the ones they have also compare the characters to see if you get a match.

Thank you Stan.  I found other pieces by Tian Hexian, but they are only pink-flowering trees.  The items I did find have the same, exact red character (I think that's the signature).  I didn't find any landscape-type pieces that have sold.  I'm debating on whether to have them appraised since I don't really want to spend the money if they're not worth it or authentic. Thanks again for your time.

You can always send photo's to Christies and they will tell you if they would put them in their auction, if they say yes I would get it appraised, it dose not cost anything for Christies.
