Title: two famille rose vases
Post by: quintenf on Mar 14, 2017, 00:09:13
Hello everybody,

I bought these two vases, which I believe are famille rose. I'm hoping that someone can confirm this and tell me something about the age. What I'm wondering is if the darker ornaments are used in famille rose, or this means they are replicas.

This looks like a set of baluster vases probably from late 19th century to early 20th. They dark brown bands are common..

An enlarge portion showing the people close up would be in order to make sure if the painted part is original or was added later.
