No value I know but could this be a possible alm someone has put a hole in for a planter?
I don't think this is even oriental. Looks like they personally drill the hole using something to carve. I guess they like this thing so much that they decided to turn it into a planter.

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you both for taking the time to share your wisdom with us. I'm sure we are entertaining and annoying at the same time but we really do appreciate both of your help
