Title: Teapot and small plate marks identity help request
Post by: Dave on Apr 30, 2014, 23:49:29
I am truly happy to have discovered and become the latest Member of this highly informative and well produced website. Thanks for the invitation!

Recently I purchased a tea pot and plate my novice mind suspects are late 20Th Century. The longer mark belongs to the teapot. Can anyone share with me what information they may contain?

Thank You for reading my post!

Hi dave, I believe this is Japanese and would date mid 20th century or later.

Hi Peter, and Dave, I just did a little research and found out that the city of Mino which is in Gifu Prefecture of central Japan, was founded on April 1, 1954. so I wasn't to far off when I said mid 20th century or later, thanks Peter for reading the Characters.
