Shape and decoration do not look like traditional Chinese porcelain to me. Perhaps 20th century.

Could it be something made for Persia or the Middle East?

In my view one of these are more likely. Chinese, but 20th century (late), Japanese, or European Chinoiserie.
There are still some Chinese elements, but some do not look like they would in classic Chinese painting style, and the shape does not seem to be one of the old Chinese ones either.

Thank you for your kind expert answer, Peter. You rightly oriented my research and I realized that at least the shape is probably japanese. The feet are typical of bonsai vases of Edo-Meiji period and on the internet I found also a box with the same dimensions, lid and very similar feet. Best regards.
