Post by: tiki on Apr 28, 2014, 04:05:24
Hi i have recently purchased this item as i am interested in theses style items,i am a complete novice and would love some help to identify this ,such as how to translate the seals and read the calligaphy,or any suggestions on how i can learn,

this site explains that an old looking piece is probably not old and can be faked

what do you think of this item
Thanks

Shape, mark, crackles and everything tell that they are new. The dirty looking part could be from age faking (porcelain does not get that way by itself). A closeup shot of the writing might reveal that it is printed. Looks like a tourist item.
