Can or do they repair ceramic pieces or porcelain pieces? I have this piece that my son broke and I hate to think it is more of a paperweight now than anything because I loved this piece.

Yes, there are porcelain restorers. However, I would first ask for a quotation. The cost might be higher than the value of this.
