Title: chinese plate?

I found this 22cm plate with a decoration I've never seen before. The blossoms look familiair but the rest does not.
Is this chinese or perhaps japanese?

Looks neither Chinese nor Japanese to me.
The blossoms may look like those of the prunus family, but the leaves are resembling those of a tropical plant. An odd combination.
