Title: hotei porcelain blue robe figurine
Post by: heavenguy on Sep 25, 2016, 08:17:03
On the same auction i bought this really neat Hotei. It was really well done and really nice hand painted. The details are simply quite nice. You can even see the eyebrow hairs. It has a mark that if I'm not mistaken it's a shanghai one??? Any information or help will be highly appreciate it.

I know of no kilns or manufacturers in Shanghai. The mark says Jingdezhen, the former porcelain metropolis.
In my view this is 21st century, possibly not even a decade old.
