Title: Polychrome Vase
Post by: bokaba on Sep 13, 2016, 02:50:46
Dear Members,

I was wondering what your thoughts are on this vase. It is decorated with birds and landscapes with a blue Qianlong mark. I don't see signs of age, so I am inclined to believe it is new.

Hi Bokaba, nice vase, it looks like it is good size, what is the hight? could you send a full bottom photo and a close up of the red ground and of the decoration the photos should be clear, it almost looks like the red has a Graviata design in it, from what I see it looks like it could be republic, but the hue shape with this style of ears are Guangxu.

Correction, the hue shape with this type of ears is from the Qianlong period  and was also made in the Guangxu period.

Any age or usage signs? On the bottom? How about the foot rim?
