Title: Terracotta pot with Greek key pattern
Post by: carlyoung on Sep 11, 2016, 19:47:30
Hello all

I have this Terracotta pot which I would be interested to know more about , could it have some age? I suppose it could be a modern copy but it does have some signs of age with blackening and pitting , The piece is approx 10 cm's tall with a rounded base and a Greek key pattern round the centre.

Any info would be great.

Hi Carlyoung, This to me does not look Chinese or Japanese, maybe Indian.

Thanks Stan

I know nothing about it to be honest so I will try that avenue and see where it takes me.

Regards

I have seen Native American pottery that is very similar, but I really do not know enough to comment.

O BTW if it is Native American it could be worth a lot of money.

I too have seen the Native American link while I was Googling last night, Another possibility.

The plot thickens . lol
