Title: Qianlong Moonflask
Post by: wk on Aug 22, 2016, 22:46:14
Bought this beautifully decorated moonflask and wonder if it's really from Qianlong period, perhaps replicated in Guangxu, or just a modern fake.
The bottom has some scratches sideways and the mark seems a little off doesn't it?
Thank you!

A modern copy, probably. Looks too pristine, and the glaze/blue decoration does not show the depth older items have. This would be very expensive if genuine. Even an unmarked moon flasks are usually fairly expensive. My personal opinion.
