Title: Beaker Vase with Unusual Mark
Post by: bokaba on Aug 21, 2016, 09:55:10
This is a beaker shaped vase, perhaps Kutani style, with a mark of a sail boat with a number 4. I looked through the Gotheborg site and could not find it. I even looked at European marks in case it is not Japanese and could not find anything. Due to the poor decoration, I would say mid 20th Century or later. Any thoughts?

Your right mid 20th century, I am not sure about it being Kutani though, Kutani still signs there items Kutani or a potters name, this could be a modern studio mark.
