Title: Republic period vase???
Post by: heavenguy on Aug 19, 2016, 12:41:36
Hello, I found this really neat vase. my best guess is somewhere in the late republic period since I have seen similar ones online. Problem is that there is no mark other than very few calligraphy characters on the top of the vase. It seems like if the vase wasn't finish since similar ones online have marks and poems on the back.

Any help or info??? Thank you very much in advance.

40s perhaps, but I think it is rather later. Looks too pristine with no loss of the black decoration.

Thank you Peterp.

This came from an estate sale from a lady who collected Chinese porcelain. A recent copy came up to my mind too, but the condition of everything she had, and I mean everything she had was unbelievable. Thank you so much for your help.
