The ash tray and the bottom of a plate are two different items, the ash tray looks modern and the colors are to bright to be old, I would say 1970 to 1980, that is when smoking was at its hight, the plate looks newer also, Im am not familiar with the mark, maybe Peter can help.

An optical allusion I guess, a modern piece.

Looks as if it was made just recently.
