I have this piece I think it is Japanese but really I don't even know what it is or where it is from.

This is Chinese but modern, possibly for sale to tourists or as a present to some elder people. The shape is that of a Chinese peach, with a pine tree and cranes. These three are all symbols of longevity. The characters along the base also mean long life.
