Title: 2 covered dishes identical one marked one not
Post by: cuinterrupted on Jun 16, 2016, 01:36:19
I purchased these two covered dishes at the same time from second hand store. They are identical in every way except one has markings and one does not. Does this mean one is fake and the other is not?

These are Imari Japanese, they look like mid 20th century or later, not sure what the writing says.

They were probably meant as a pair, there for the maker only signed one, I have a few items that are pairs where only one is signed.
