Title: small jar
Post by: dfs6975 on Apr 10, 2014, 05:23:13
Don't know what this is. No mark on bottom. It has crackling/crazing lines all over that, in one spot, unfortunately, are brown. There are two lids, one fits inside the other. The outer lid has one of the pink flowers on it Thank you.

This looks as if it was recently made, including the crazing. Bottom picture blurred. The decoration is not any traditional Chinese decoration. Looks like a superficial copy of a floral decoration with the wrong colors and style.

Thank you. Good to know that new pieces can have crazing lines. Someone was kind enough to advise these two might be a little older than the jar.

The plate is likely early 19th century. Would need closeup pictures of some details to make sure. The bowl would need more pictures, including closeups of bottom and decoration. This single picture has insufficient resolution.
