Title: Strange mark on bowl--what is it?

I inherited two bowls, they both have different designs and each has a unique mark on the bottom. I'm attaching pictures of the one bowl (it has a lid on it, but it's a small bowl). Does anyone know what this mark means?? I don't think they are valuable, because they look new. Im just curious what the mark means :)

Hi there

It looks Japanese to me , probably 20th century ,the mark is very loose and artistic and looks like a Japanese character mark.
