Title: Blue monochrome bowl
Post by: carlyoung on Apr 04, 2016, 01:23:29
I also have this blue monochrome porcelain bowl and I would appreciate if you could take a look at it for me , I am not sure where it originates from but I was thinking maybe Asian?

The bowl is a beautiful shade of blue with a completely glazed base and foot , it has a three pronged mark from the kiln and has small patches of white showing through the blue .

Approx 24 cm's in diameter and 8 cm's tall

Thanks again

Fired on stilts. Bottom looks Japanese.

I believe this is Awaji ware, the bright blue color and the stilt marks are typical, the foot would make this a later piece around 1920 I think.
