I cannot identify this mark. Can anyone help please???
thank you in advance
I could not find it in my book of marks, sorry.
Hey Stan, Yes its taking me forever to find it too. I look on a couple of books and online and nope not good luck.
I can't find anything about it. But it looks like the mark says "????". When you put that into to google, there's some Chinese auctions I believe that may be selling some porcelain by that maker. Not sure if it looks like what you have.
Thank you Hmm!!! They look very similar to the ones on I'm looking for. Still I don't understand the name of the makers but they basically have their own style. Thank you very much!!!
A private mark. Better upload images.
I just won them on an auction today, so probably its going to take me like a couple of weeks to get them. I will post the images as soon as I get them. The auction escalated very quickly so they must be something decent. Thank you for your answers...
Hey Guys, they arrived. I'm going to post just once since they are the same build type of ink and everything but different scene.
I hope you like them
more pics
They are similar as the ones Hmm google them but unfortunately I don't know any cantonese or mandarin so I ignore what they say on the ads... Hope you can help.
Looks indeed as if they were made at the same place and time. The view where all writing is visible has a cyclical date. The only one that could be applicable would be 1959, but it may well be later, perhaps in the last two or three decades. It looks all too new, without particular age signs, expecially the writing is black and without abrasion.
Oh, okey what I see there. for some reason I switched the lids of the cups. I will try to match it to each other.
the other one
Here are the rest. There is some wear to them but not as usually expected.under the mic they look hand painted even the letters.
By the way, what do you mean by cyclical date? is it par of a story or something or is it commemorating something? Age signs. I guess they look kind of new.
I took a risk in bidding this online and it may seem i bought the wrong stuff. I guess that will teach me.
By the way I forgot to mention that the cups are vey translucent. like if you were looking at european porcelain. not a very thick porcelain.
thank you
As I mentioned already many times, hand-painted or handmade are not signs specific to antiques. Even now hand-painting is common.
Thank you very much.
