Title: Kangxi? Translation of Mark please....
Post by: Amysattic519 on Jan 26, 2016, 07:15:36
Hi. I was wondering if anyone could please translate this 4 character Chinese mark as well as provide approximate age. Is it Kangxi? Also, is this a base to a vass or jar? Or a stand/trivet for a teapot? It doesn't look like porcelain, more like stoneware or clay. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

The mark is "Dechang Taoci". This could be the Dechang Taoci Company founded early in the 20th century. This is printed and is probably from the second half of the 20th century, rather on the later side.
