Title: Bottom mark
Post by: Stan on Jan 19, 2016, 03:29:17
Hi Peter, can you tell me if this is a real mark, it is not in any of my books and the dealer wants a pretty good price, the mark is stamped in the center.

It's?upside down. I can only read the first two characters - Xu Pin (or Hsu Pin), with the third I would have to check the character dict., but that is on the other computer which crashed.
Anyway, seems to be a persons name; that means it is a private mark, most likely Guangxu or republic period, judging by the mark type. Of course can be imitated too...
