Can anybody give us any info on this plate??

An old Chinese friend gave this plate to my brother in law quite a few years back.
He told him to keep it that it was very valuable. but he passed on before we found out any more about it!!

Jiaqing mark and period.
This type of plate is still quite commonly found.
