Title: Chenghua Ming? No mark
Post by: Joypop on Dec 26, 2015, 07:57:28
I inherited this bowl from my great grandfather who was the Dutch ambassador to China sometime during the 1800's. Can anybody help with identification and possible value?

Pictures are on photobucket here:

I could not tell whether it is Chenghua or not, but judging by the foot rim in these pictures it should from sometime between early 15th and early 16th century. The bowl shows Buddhist symbols in a floral decoration.
Values are highly subjective. Please see the explanation under "Value of Antiques" in the menu of the main site.

I really want to get an appraisal on it from an expert. Does anyone know where to find a top notch expert for appraisals?
