Hi I was just wondering if anyone can help me identify this Chinese looking large vase/ bowl that I have came across when sorting through loft. Any help would be much appreciated as I am intrigued by this beautiful item.
Although pictures are a bit small, what is visible shows an item that is probably not older than fourth quarter of the 20th century (an imitation of 19th century 'medaillon rose' decorations.
The headwear, faces, etc. are typical late 20th century, however.
Painted or stamped color marks were never added to unglazed bottoms. No need to mention that the mark is spurious.
