Title: Yongzheng Copper Red Dish
Post by: kardinalisimo on Oct 15, 2015, 06:57:30
About 6 3/8" in diameter. Too bad there is a damage. Any opinions on being period or later?
Thanks

Monochromes should best be evaluated via a hands-on inspection.

I was afraid you was going to say that. In general, are the footrim and the shape about right for the period?

The problem is that they are right for many periods, but the mark is not. It would have to be official kiln ware...

There is nobody in my area that I am aware of, who can do hands-on inspection. Auction houses probably won't bother to do that because of the damage( the hairline also shows on the face), which I guess makes the piece very low valued.
