Title: Famille Rose buddha?
Post by: heavenguy on Aug 17, 2015, 08:39:52
Hello everyone,

I found this happy buddha and I really can't tell much about it. It has a stamp on the bottom and it has a 99 on it so it's probably recent. I have seen similar ones that mention that they are famille rose porcelain but I'm not even sure what that means. Any information provided will be of much appreciate it.

The stamp says Jingdezhen, the 99 may be a factory or production indicator.
I would think this is end of 20th to 21st century. Here I can see lots of vintage ones, but this is later. Also, the pattern on the clothing seems to be transfer printed.
