Title: Need help with ID of seal/marks
Post by: topcatbooks on Jun 12, 2015, 07:12:32
I was going through items I have received over the years and wondering what the marks were.  I have 3 items which include a semi flat plate, a small Porcelain bowl and a larger heavier bowl.  The larger bowl my mother said she purchased from an antique shop.  The small bowl was a gift from a former boss.  I have included photos of the marks.  Any help would be great!  I can post photos of the actual bowls if needed.  Or retake the photos of the marks if they aren't clear.  Thanks again!

First and second "Qianlong Nianzhi", third is "Jingdezhen zhi". All four character marks used in the second half of the 20th century.

Addition:  "nianzhi" means "made in the years of", "zhi" itself means made.
You will find "Qianlong" and "Jingdezhen" by searching the main site.
