Thanks, Peter. I was afraid  about the same. What period and style they tried to simulate? Also, what are that signs that give up the fakeness?
Colors, bottom...? I see that the facial hair look kind of funky and the painting style is not very detailed. Otherwise, the porcelain shows some age but of course that is easy to fake.
It is good to have a fake pieces( paid few dollars for it) so I can compare with the real ones.

With people it is easier starting to learn how the eyes and faces of certain periods look. Only the best of fakes do those of earlier periods correctly. That one you have is one of the easiest to recognize. You have to find similar items that are confirmedly authentic, either in real life or on the web, and compare.
Everyone bought such fakes when they started out.
I always recommend buying export porcelain from reputed sellers, that gives you a better chance to get authentic items.
