Title: Really big white and blue vase.
Post by: heavenguy on Apr 21, 2015, 06:53:07
Hello,

I found this really nice piece. My best guess is late Qing. The detail is decent. There is two twin peak mountains and like an x of xs on the middle. The photos don't show it but it has some kiln overheat spots. I also see some firing faults, brown spots and spider cracks.

Any help will be highly appreciate it. =)

Late Qing dynasty. I have one of these too... I assume it is around or over 50cm high?

Hi Peterp,

Yes its 50 Cm!!!  Wow, I'm glad I'm minimizing my mistakes or at least trying... =)

Is there like a special meaning to the twin peaks??? I know i read somewhere about them but totally forgot... anywayz.

thank you very much for your help...

I don't know. To me this looks like a variation of the willow pattern scenery.
