Title: Guangxu lidded bowl
Post by: Stan on Apr 12, 2015, 08:49:43
Hi Peter, I purchased a pair of these, this is one of a pair, the blue color is not right, it is not what is on the bowl, it is a darker blue not the color shown, for some reason I just could not capture the blue color on this bowl, I think I might need to invest in a better camera, the red mark on the bottom is under the glaze on both bowls, the iron steel handles look like they are hand chased and the bats look like Guangxu period, I think these are mark and period but I have never seen anything quite like them, please let me know what you think, I will post 8 photo's to view, thanks again for your help.

Guangxu should be nor problem, I think. This is a well known decoration of the late Qing dynasty.
