Title: Qing emperor Qianlong blue raised mark?? on a pair of dragon motif vases
Post by: Okrutnik on Mar 19, 2015, 06:16:03
I haven't seen anywhere a raised blue mark like that. Both pieces have wiggly eyes (they actually move around). Mark is blue and the calligraphy is raised. Is this a reproduction or it's actually 18th Century?

The mark is a spurious Qianlong mark. The item is likely 20th century. I would suggest to upload bottom and top pictures to show more detail. Closeup and partial would be fine.
