Please help me understand when or where this item was made.

This one has a ceramic lid with a Chinese or Japanese lady in a long dress standing over what appears to be a rug on the lid.
The base has no mark at all but it made out of a type of metal.

I'm wondering this must be quite modern as the inside of the lid is very reflective, reflective enough to be used as a mirror.

Any ideas?

The porcelain was possibly made specifically for this and is not old. Such boxes are mainly made for export.
