I inherited this lidded bowl which I assume is Chinese. It is 12 1/4" in Diameter and with the lid is 7" tall. There are Chinese characters and a chop on the side of the bowl. It is very nice and the scenes on the lid and sides of the bowl are very crisp and clear. Is this from an identifiable period? Can anyone read the script? Thanks in advance for your help. I attached a photo of the script and of the lid. Note: The lid picture is cropped to reduce the size. Disregard any jagged edges and blotches around the edge.
This is modern. The black characters and mark look pretty new.
That is just a congratulory phrase wishing a long life.
