Hi Kardinalisimo, I looked through my books on Japanese Porcelain and could not find anything like this perhaps a studio mark from mid 20th century, just a guess, maybe Peter can read the mark.

yeah, the vase is not terribly old but I find it kind of interesting. probably as you said a studio mark. hope too that Peter can read some of the characters.

Cannot read it. The writing looks very nice, but a calligrapher may be needed to read it.
