Hi Everyone,

Thanks for taking a minute to look at my post.

I have a small plate, about 5" round.

It looks like a Chinese, Japanese, or Asian Plate.

It has a unique bottom  that looks like a long tail and the head of a giraffe or maybe a snake?

Also there is a little red mark on the bottom that looks maybe like a letter C.

Any help identifying this plate would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Stan

Thanks for your reply. That gives me someplace to start.
I appreciate your help!

BTW. the foot came apart during the firing in the kiln and that is how it came out, if you look close enough you can see the pieces would fit where it came apart.

Do you think the red mark that looks like the letter C is a makers mark, or just an "oops" mark?

Stan

It is not like any mark I have ever seen, looks to me like something that happened during the firing in the kiln.
