Is it a Dehua piece or more recent? The mark is very faint.

If it is Dehua, as Blanc de Chinese would be, then I guess it would be more recent. I do not see the fine white clay there usually is in older wares. Dehua is famous for its pure white wares, very white clay and white glaze, in the Qing dynasty. The mark appears also on later copies. Originally, there should be two, and it is normal that one is hardly visible.
If there are seams visible on the sides, then it was made in a mould, but they could have been removed.
Normally, with completely hand made figurines, one feature is lots of finger impressions inside, all of different depth and shape, showing clearly that it was formed by hand. Here there virtually none, and the foot rim has a rough appearance, and it is not pure white.
I would think this is a later product.
