I do not think that this is Chinese or Japanese, I think it is European made to look like a Japanese teapot, the drawing looks like it was done by a child, antique porcelain would not be so sloppy, in my opinion.

The insert and knob of the lid tell us that this is 20th century, most probably on the later side. The shade of blue also gives that impression, and I bet a close up of the decoration would reveal that the decoration is printed.

Tea pot inserts like are found in Chinese porcelain only in recent times, but are more possibly meant for export. Most Chinese tea lovers would not use such a device as it is not compatible with traditional tea brewing methods, although I could imagine its use in a commercial surroundings like a restaurant, etc.  Anyway, nothing antique if it is Chinese. A close up picture of the base/foot rim and the interior where the spout is attached might help, but again, I would not expect too much.  The unclear subject of the blue decoration and some lines point to a more recent mass produced item.
