Is this "New Fencai" from the Early Republic? Seems like there was some kind of gilt decoration that is completely washed out.

that is a modern bottom.

Look closely at the flowers. You can see what seems to be raster dots of modern printing.

You are probably right. I compared it with another dated hat stand that I have(last picture) and the decoration on the lamp does appear to have a lot of dots.
