I know Stan would like to see this because he likes Fukagawa so much. I picked it up today at a yard sale for . . . $1.00!

It looks so much like the Kakiemon plate I asked about recently, that I thought I would see the same mark as the plate, but it was the Fukagawa Cloud and Stream mark on the saucer bottom.

There is, as you can see, also a small "cloud" symbol inside the tiny lid, but no mark on the bottom of the pot.

The two pieces are in perfect condition. The little pot does not have a handle and clearly never did, the side is absolutely smooth.

Perhaps Stan has an idea of age? Wondering if this is also, like Kakiemon plate, early 1950s?

Thank you! Kaaren

Hi Kaaren, good deal for a $1.00 Yes Kakiemon style, the mark is Mountain and stream the Mountain is Mt Fuji, thanks so much for showing to me, I do like Fukagawa, thankd again.

Thank you, Stan! Any idea on age? Is this, like the Kakiemon plate, from around the 1950s?

Stan

Hi Kaaren, it is hard to tell if your set is from the 50's or later, I saw a dish on the internet with identical pattern and mark and they were saying Antique, I highly doubt it, what makes it hard to tell is Fukagawa is still using these marks today and even the pieces that are Vintage or Antique, most of them do not have age signs to compare, but on your tea pot, the lid looks like it was made in a mold, that leads me to believe a later period, more like the 4th quarter of the 20th century, I Can't say for sure.
