Famille Rose Celadon Plate - 19th Century?

This was another yard sale pickup.

I have seen quite a few of these online, all described as mid-19th century.

You can feel the enamel work above the surface. No chips or cracks but very worn foot rim.

Any thoughts on authenticity, and the mark? Thanks, Kaaren

I have some of these, called Canton plates.
They are dated from 2nd to 3rd quarter of 19th century.
Sometime the bottom is rough and there is some grit on the rim.
It seems that your dish is genuine, let see Peter and Stan opinions.

This looks authentic to me, Jiaqing marks like this were occasionally off centered, the decoration in front looks good, I have some suspicion about the red color, Im not 100% sure if that was used during Jiaqing period, if not then the decoration could have been added at a later date, this bright red color i think was used during the Youngzheng period, lets see what Peter says, Other than that it looks good.

Thanks to everyone. I paid $8 for it at a yard sale so I'm pleased with recent purchases.

The color in the flower in the center is actually a purplish, almost purplish brown in person. My camera may have made it look brighter. KB

Yes, Jiaqing, and M&P it seems.

The marks are often difficult to read or identify (even for native Chinese) although they are usually reign marks. That is because only one half of the characters is written. This is a peculiarity of this specific reign.
