I would love to get some help in identifying three Chinese porcelain objects we purchased recently. My son found them in a second hand shop which often handles estates and we didn't pay that much for them. We will still enjoy them if they are reproductions but they appear to be of very high quality and we were wandering if they may be genuine antiques. I am also curious to find out about their history. I'll attach the photos of the teapot to this post and start new posts for the other two.

Hi Anna, this is definitely a modern creation and is not a reproduction,

Anna

Thanks, Stan. I don't know a lot about antiques but just liked those objects. How can you tell that they are modern?

Stan

Just from experience, this is not a traditional tea pot by no means.

This is hardly a teapot. Tea needs to be hot, but this shape would be ensuring that the tea got cold fast. Could be for wine, etc., but it is mainly for decoration. The shape is that of a Chinese character, possibly for longevity.
