Old blue white fish pot

I have an old Chinese lobed pot. Old sand kiln base and unusual characters on the side by the rim. Very dark almost black glaze. I used lights for the pics. Sorry these are limited. I am not good at shrinking pics. Any clues as to age or function would be greatly appreciated.
