This type of Guangxu reign mark in a double circle is imitating a seal mark, but it does not appear to be common. Not in a  mark book from China. To make sure that the item is of the period and not a later, spurious mark, it might be advantageous to see the item itself.
Many Chinese items have marks of earlier periods, for that reason marks can only confirm an item's dating, but by itself cannot tell the age for sure.

I have seen these marks often before, they are all second half of the 20th century.

Hi Jospeh,


Flamingo's on antique Chinese porcelain are non existent.
There are (or were) no flamingo's in China and if there were they probably wouldn't paint them like this :)

This un-Chinese style of decorations, the pale and thick enamel are typical of Macau production.
1960s – 1970s period, I think.

I think the bird is actually a Heron. Someone more knowledgeable might know if the combination of Heron and Kingfisher has a hidden meaning.
