Bowl - Yuan dynasty?

Hello everyone,


I recently acquired a lot of 5 bowls.
This is one of them.

The decoration has faded a lot unfortunately.
The only thing I can deduct is the banana leave decoration on the bottom.
They seem to have a full rib in the middle, of which Peter says it only occurs in the Yuan dynasty.

Could this be Yuan? Or just fake or not even Chinese?

I believe the Yuan dynasty bottom would not be glazed, possibly Ming.

I should correct myself. While it (the full banana leaf rib) is a Yuan dynasty feature, some Yuan features may also appear in the Hongwu reign, the first reign of the Ming dynasty. You could say that most changes did not happen abruptly, but over time, when a new era began. The Hongwu reign has some features similar to Yuan, they spilled over, but disappeared for good thereafter. But careful, even if some features are not typical for Ming, the Yuan type decoration may already slightly differ from the original Yuan one. That is why attribution is often possible to early Ming.
