About Kraak wares:  the blue color can be different according to kiln. The earliest Kraak style decorations were made at Zhangzhou kilns; but later they were mostly produced at Jingdezhen, it appears.

Some Japanese Kraak decorations look perfectly Chinese, except that the blue pigment differs. Japanese Kraak style wares often have more grit adhering to the foot rim than those made at Jingdezhen, probably intentionally.
When buying Kraak items always be aware that half a dozen other countries also made wares with Kraak style decorations.

(When using Rinaldi's book always be aware of the possibility that something might be inaccurate. After noting that Rinaldi's book was the only one on the market that investigates these porcelain types, I was wondering why it is not being re-printed. A collector who knew her personally told me that she apparently thought there are some inaccuracies.)
