Hi All,

Need your take on this!

I do not know much about this vases history, it came from a local Providence, R.I. high end used and antique furniture company that went bankrupt in 2001. I bought this and numerous old, Japanese Imari vases and a few Chinese lamps. Vase measures 17" inches high and 27" inches in circumference around widest part.

What are your thoughts on this?
WHen was this made?
Reproduction/ replica?

The hallmark looks a little too dark blue. What do you guys think?

Hi Smak, the double tail dragon which is an off spring of the traditional dragon did not exist in the Qing dynasty from my understanding, unless I can be proved wrong, also the thick black out lines would be from the 2nd half of the 20th century, but a very nice example in my opinion.

Sorry for the missing images smak, but the forum seems to have been hacked last night causing them to disappear.

Thanks Stanley, I was speculating it mightve been a modern reproduction!

I agree. The shape is not a traditional shape and th colors used point to 20th century.
