Hello, I found this jar minus the lid at a garage sale and cannot discern the markings.

I am not familiar with the maker, but it looks like the mark is in English not Japanese.

These handwritten characters are difficult to read. Anyway, this item is modern, printed, probably mass-produced. Nothing to do with antique arts and crafts.
