I came across this vase today. The wooden stand looks very old and the seller isn't asking much (he doesn't know about the mark or anything else) .  I know genuine ones go for a nice price. Does it look authentic to you? Thanks

The foot rim are likely late Qing to republic, but with that type of Qianlong mark it is difficult to tell. Qianlong marks were commonly used in the republic period, but not this character type. It could as well be a later in the 20th century copy, but the item itself looks attractive. I guess it is fairly heavy?

A wooden stand or lid is sometimes more valuable than the item itself, depending on the wood that was used.

Yes it is heavy. Thank you again Peter for your time. Could you take a few seconds to look at a jade bowl thread I've started in the non ceramic section?
